Christ Lutheran Core Beliefs

Bible

We believe the Bible to be the complete Word of God.

That the 66 books of the Old and New Testament were inspired by the Spirit of God ... and

That the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

God The Father

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. 

We believe in one God, Creator of all, holy, sovereign, eternal, existing in three equal Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit

Jesus Christ, The Son

We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under  Pontius Plate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.

The Holy Spirit

 We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. 

Salvation

We believe that it is by grace we are saved through faith, and this is not our own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of our works, so that no one may boast. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and  everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." and also "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved."
