As we approach the season of Lent, which starts on March 2nd with Ash Wednesday, I always like to remember that as Jesus made his journey to Jerusalem where he knew he would be crucified, his whole being was filled with love. That love is what he continues to offer to us every day. Especially during the days of Lent during in which we prepare ourselves for remembering his unlitmate sacrifice in dying on the cross, we remember that it's all because of God's love for us.

We say it all the time around Christ Lutheran, but the words of John 3:16 are never more appropriate than during Lent. "For God so loved the world (that includes YOU), that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."

This love of God for you and me in Christ, is a love that never quits. I fail, you fail, and everyone fails, but God NEVER stops loving us. During Lent this year, I invite you to reflect on how God's love never fails for you.

Blessings and hope in Christ,

Pastor Mark
