I love the summer! Maybe in part because it takes me back to my childhood and vacation from school. Summer also makes me think about times with family, whether traveling to visit or going camping with our two sons. I have many fond memories that were formed during the summer.

What does this summer hold for you? Here in Hilo, the weather isn't dramatically different from other times of the year, but there's still a different feel around church and even in the community as kids (and teachers) are out of school. Some are home from college for a bit, some have the freedom and ability to travel. Some, don't experience much change.

Whether your summer includes guests or travel, or simply more of the same, I pray that the constant love of God for you in Christ Jesus fills your heart and keeps you close to Him. You can help with that by staying close to Him. Continue to spend time in prayer, reading the Bible, serving others and in worship. When traveling, visit other churches and experience God's grace through the ministries they provide. When you have company, welcome them to worship with you at Christ Lutheran or utilize our online worship services here. Invite a friend to have coffee and watch and then discuss a service online or email the link to a family member and ask them to give you feedback.

Yes, the summer season is here and that means more opportunities to help more people Experience Christ's Love. Have a blessed summer.
